Understanding Acne with BiON – The Chemistry Within

Andrea Matczyszyn, LE and Director of Education for BiON Skincare will be leading you through the causes of acne within the skin based on its chemistry. The goal in treating acne is to reduce inflammation, accelerate wound healing, regulate sebum production and reduce cutaneous pigmentation.

This is accomplished by controlling the bacteria and their lipases (enzymes) and preventing irritation and blockage of the follicles. Discussion of other factors that trigger acne, such as diet, stress, menstruation and ultraviolet radiation will help you to become the expert in your community for acne treatment.

BiON Skincare – Corrective Acne Formulas

Corrective acne formulas are essential for the successful treatment of acne. Andrea Matczyszyn, LE and Director of Education will present BiON’s acne product ingredients and discuss why BiON Skincare has been a leader in the acne treatment industry for over 20 years.

Our ingredients kill P. acnes and other undesirable bacteria by using a small amount of salicylic acid and eliminating benzoyl peroxide. Use of unique antibacterial ingredients such as cinnamon bark extract, sage extract, turmeric extract and wild marjoram extract were selected because each has multiple functions in controlling acne.
